TUMS repeats Success for the 7th Year at 15th Razi Research Festival

TUMSPR News: The researchers and research bodies of Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) harvested 19 awards of Razi Research Festival on January 10, 2010.
Razi Research Festival which is one of the most prestigious research festival in Iran which was first introduced by the National Research Center for Medical Sciences of Iran (NRCMSI).
This year, TUMS researchers and research centers won 19 awards of the festival to claim to be the best for the seventh year in a row.
The festival held at IRIB Conference Hall January 10, 2010, TUMS Endocrinology and Metabolism, HIV/AIDS, Psychiatry and Psychology, Nanotechnology, Biotechnology and Students Research Centers and 12 individuals plus Daru, (meaning Drug) Journal which is published in English won 19 awards to place TUMS on top of the list.
NRCMSI which has been relatively reduced to a national center to organize Razi festival annually once was one of the leading organizations in Iran to have assumed an NIH-type role to promote research and help connect research institutes with industry in its hay days. At the time of the former health minister, Dr. Kamran Begheri Lankarani, the center lost its luster and its leading role.
