People Playing Sports together with the Health Minister to Celebrate Health Week 2010 in Iran

TUMSPR News: On the third day of Health Week 2010 in Iran, the Iranian health minister accompanied by a group of women played sports to celebrate the week and convey the message on the importance of physical activity at TUMS Chamran Sports Complex.
Based on the report by the Public Relations of TUMS Physical Education Department at Students Affair Office, the Iranian health minister, Dr. Vahid-dastjerdi, accompanied by a group of girls and women did physical exercises and took a walk for nearly an hour to symbolically highlight the importance of physical activity. The activity took place at Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) Chamran Sports Complex.
The vice-minister for treatment, Dr. Imamirazavi and the head of Tehran public sports office also participated in the event.
The two groups of men and women finally participated in a running match seperately and the winners recieved gifts from the Ministry of Health Ministry of Health.
This year's theme of the World Health Day 2010 is Urban Health to address the difficulties such as sedentary life style created by urbanization and help resolve some of its deleterious effects on health of city dwellers..
