European Blood and Marrow Transplantation Group's Honorary Membership for Dr. Ardeshir Ghavamzadeh

TUMSPR News: European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) has given honorary membership to Professor Ardeshir Ghavamzadeh, the head of TUMS Hematology-Oncology and BMT Research Center, for the year 2010.

In a news dispatch published in EBMT 2010 Post Congress Bulletin, the names of five renowned researchers have been announced for their meritorious contribution to Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT) field.

The news reads as follows:

There were five awards of EBMT bestowed this year to celebrate individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the field of HSCT and have shown committed long-standig involvement in EBMT.

- A Gratwohl, Basel, CH
- H Kolb, Munich, DE
- K Blume, Stanford, USA
- A Ghavamzadeh, Tehran, Iran

The awardees were handed with a hand crafted statue as a token of their Honorary Membership by Dietger Niederwieser during the official Opening Session of EBMT 2010.

Professor Ardeshir Ghavamzadeh is the head of TUMS Hematology-Oncology and BMT Research Center.
