Dr. Bahador Alamiharandi, the Distinguished Professors of TUMS in 2010

TUMSPR News: Dr. Bagher Larijani, the chancellor for Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), recently introduced four distinguished professors of the University for the year 2010, Dr. Bahador Alamiharandi being one of them, based on the decision made by the Council for the selection of distinguished professors in August 2010.
The chancellor for Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), Dr. Bagher Larijani, recently introduced four distinguished professors of the University Dr. Bahador Alamiharandi, Dr. Ardeshir Ghavamzadeh, Dr. Kazem Mohammad and Dr. Fereidoun Davachi based on the decision made by the Council for the selection of distinguished professors in August 2010.
Born in Harand in 1939, he graduated from medicine in Isfahan University in 1964. He later got his specialty in orthopedics in the United States in 1973.
His Persian comprehensive “Textbook of Orthopedics and Fractures” has been a favorite of medical students and residents from its publication.
Achievements and held positions
The best intern of the year 1966-67 at Methodist Hospital, Brooklyn, New York
The head of Department of Orthopedics from the time of its establishment in 1988.
A member of TUMS Board of Trustees from the time of establishment.
A permanent member of the Academy of Medical Sciences since 1990.
A member of the examining board of orthopedics at the Ministry of Health in the last 24 years.
The head of orthopedics education at TUMS Shafa Yahyaian Hospital in 1971 – 1976.
