TUMSPR News: TUMS vice-chancellor for Research has released the names of faculty members with H-indexes and paper citations greater than 10 and 20, respectively
The vice-chancellor for Research of Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) has released the names of faculty members with H-indexes and paper citations greater than 10 and 20, respectively. The calculations are for the year 2005 and thereafter.
The top five with highest H-index include:
1. Dr. Mohammad reza Zarindast (24)
2. Dr. Mohammad Abdollahi (24)
3. Dr. Ahmadreza Dehpour (20)
4. Dr. Abbas Shafiei (20)
5. Dr. Reza Malekzadeh (20)
The faculty members having published five papers with greater than 20 citations:
1- Dr. Mohammad Abdollahi (84)
2- Dr. HAmidreza NAghavi (75)
3- Dr. Behrouz Nikbin Moghadam (57)
4- Dr. Mohammad Abdollahi (53)
5- Dr. Reza Malekzadeh (42)
H-index was proposed by J. E. Hirsch to quantify an individual's scientific research output. The h-index attempts to measure both the scientific productivity and the apparent scientific impact of a scientist based on the scientist's most cited papers and the number of citations that they have received in other researchers' publications.
