TUMSPR News: The chancellor for Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), Dr. Bagher Larijani recently introduced the four distinguished professors of the University.
Dr. Bagher Larijani, the chancellor for Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), recently introduced the four distinguished professors of the university. Dr. Ardeshir Ghavamzadeh, Dr. Kazem Mohammad, Dr. Bahador Alamiharandi and Dr. Fereidoun Davachi who had fulfilled the conditions and satisfied the guidelines set by the Council for the selection of distinguished professors.
The chancellor added that achieving 300 points from the publication of original articles in international and domestic scientific databases, registration of patents, and innovation in education during full professorship period were the items necessary for the promotion of faculty members to this academic degree. Being a full professor for at least 15 years was one of the criteria for such selection, Dr Larijani said.
The Council is composed of the chancellor himself, the vice-chancellor for education, the vice-chancellor for research, three nationally distinguished scientific figures and three full professors of the university.
