TUMSPR News: At the meeting held at Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), Dr. Farhad Rahbar called the meeting a starting point for the inclusion of more Iranian universities in international ranking systems on October 3, 2010.
Welcoming the guests from QS Asia, City University of Hong Kong, and delegates from different domestic universities, Dr. Farhad Rahbar from University of Tehran (UT) said that the presence of delegates from different Iranian universities in the meeting signified their attachment and desire to interact with the scientific community in the world.
He called the institution a pioneer in all scientific, cultural and social changes in the society and hinted at the determination to promote cooperation with universities regionally and globally and showed his pleasure for joining the international ranking systems for promoting the qualitative and quantitative scientific indices of the university, in lines with the objectives of the 20 year plan of the country.
Rahbar, finally hoped the meeting could serve a starting point for the inclusion of more Iranian universities in the ranking systems and called the gathering a base for realizing the importance of internationalization of the institute’s programs.
