TUMSPR News: Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) officially started on Tuesday September 22, 2009 by the student, faculty members and the authorities getting together at Avicenna Conference Hall.
Student, faculty members and the authorities Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) got together at Avicenna Conference Hall on Tuesday September 22, 2009 looking for a year before them to turn to success by hard work.
In his opening speech, Dr. Larijani, TUMS chancellor, said “I am happy that the new academic year has begun for this 75-year old university and TUMS has been able to keep its lead as announced by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education as the first ranking university in Iran and among the first 500 top universities of the world.
The chancellor also said that the state’s scientific map would be finalized in a few days time and that of the university in coming months. He believed the university would be able to prosper on conditions of efficiency and up-to-date programming. He added that if the university wanted to develop, it had to adopt and implement the state’s scientific map to open new paths for education and research_ something that would help promote the oldest university of Iran in the modern time.
