TUMS Medical School, Syria’s Tishreen University Sign an Agreement

TUMSPR News: The dean of TUMS’ School of Medicine, Dr. Imami-Razavi, informed the media of an agreement for collaboration between the school and Tishreen University in Syria.
In a two-day visit to Tishreen University in Syria, an Iranian delegation from Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) signed an agreement for collaboration including student exchange programs and establishment of highly specialized hospital wards by the assistance of TUMS.
Dr. Imami-Razavi reminded that during the visit to Tishreen University, the signing of the agreement had been in lines with the scientific and educational collaborations among schools of medicine in the Islamic world.
Dr. Razavi said that Tashreen University had been eager to establish wards for bone marrow transplant and for the treatment of spinal cord injuries by Schwann cells.
Malaysia’s UPM and Senegal’s universities had signed agreement for student exchange with TUMS, he added. TUMS and Malaysia’s UPM University want to establish new fields of study and benefit from each others capabilities.
