TUMSPR News: The chancellor for Tehran University of medical Sciences (TUMS) met the members of affiliate Public Relations and Alumni offices for the coordination regarding the celebration of the University’s 75th year anniversary on January 20, 2009.
Dr. Bagher Larijani, the chancellor for Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) met the members of affiliate Public Relations and Alumni offices for the coordination regarding the celebration of the University’s 75th year anniversary on January 20, 2009.
The opening speech of the meeting, attended by TUMS PR manager, Dr. Seyed Mansour Gatmiri, Dr. Nowrouzi and more than 70 members of the affiliate PR and Alumni Offices members, was given by the chancellor. He said that the role of public relations has gone beyond formalities nowadays and they are an essential part of any organization, He then positively evaluated the activity of TUMS Public Relations office and said it had been able to build up an efficient network with a good coverage of the events in the University with its 47 research centers, 16 hospital and 10 faculties.
Furthermore, the chancellor added that “The success that the University has achieved nationally and it is shining star in the state’s [higher] education and research would not have been possible without the help of its Public relations in reporting its activities which has resulted in its visibility in domestic and international arenas.”
