TUMS Chancellor, Dr. Larijani , concluded the day-long diabetes and osteoporosis symposium held to discuss and share the latest updates on the two diseases, evaluate the current projects of both groups by thanking all the participants including endocrinologist, endocrinology fellows, the Austrian ambassador to Iran and professor Schernthaner, and researchers and employees from diabetes and osteoporosis networks, and also colleagues from the presidential technology office, who had helped the Angipars project progress and those from the Parsroos, who have been trying to reach diabetics in need of the medication.

Dr. Larijani also thanked the Austrian ambassador for attending the final session of the symposium and professor Schernthaner. He refered to the professor Schernthaner as one of the most well-know scientist in diabetes field in the world and on old friend with a lot of research experience.

The chancellor hoped that the medication, Angipars, to solve some of the problems faced by diabetic patients with foot ulcers and help treat their lesions.

The medication was unveiled by the Minister of Health and Medical Education on February 3, 2008.
