TUMSPR News: The diabetes and osteoporosis networks of TUMS came together on Thursday July 10, 2008 at the Museum of the History of Medicine to update and exchange the latest scientific data on the tow diseases and push forward the agenda for the related projects.
The diabetes and osteoporosis networks of Tehran University of Medical Science (TUMS) came together on Thursday July 10, 2008 at the Museum of the History of Medicine to update and exchange the latest scientific data on the tow diseases and push forward the agenda for the related projects. The gathering's focus was on three subjects:
1- Osteoporosis network's projects agenda, including revision of the guidelines on osteoporosis, report of the Golestan province hip fracture project, the report of the Iranian Osteoporosis Association activities and scientific databases.
2- Diabetes and metabolic disorders network's project’s agenda, including congresses, the Iranian Diabetes and Lipid journal, joint projects on gestational diabetes, joint projects on Islamic fasting, screening for familial hypercholesterolemia, diabetic syndrome congress and related projects and endocrinologic tumors database, etc.
And 3- The speech of professor Schernthaner, a leading scientist in the world of diabetic foot syndrome and the post marketing issues of Angipars, a novel drug to heal diabetic foot ulcers which was introduced recently by the Minister of Health.
