TUMSPR News: The ceremony for honoring the researchers and great professors of Tehran University (TU) and Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) by the participation of chancellors and faculty members of both universities took place at TU’s Allameh Aamini Hall on March 9, 2008.
Dr. Larijani, TUMS chancellor, while thanking the faculty members for taking all the trouble, knew their role important in achieving scientific success and comprehensively talked on the scientific mapping of the country.
Dr. Farhad Rahbar, TU’s chancellor, said that honoring the researchers and professors of the two universities as auspices.
Dr. Mohammad-Reza Ganjali, from TU Science Faculty, while welcoming the guests reminded the four missions of university processors as knowledge production, production of technological knowledge and wealth, authoring and translating books and teaching. He added that archiving two of this would make a successful professor.
Dr. Seyed Hassan Imami-Razavi, dean for TUMS School of Medicine, congratulated Dr. Farhad Rahbar’s appointment as the president of TU and said that the IR Iran’s leader had called TU and TUMS as the greatest universities of the country and as the symbol of higher education and TUMS as the most comprehensive provider of (health) services to the society.
Dr. Mesdaghi–Nia, the dean for TUMS Public Health Faculty, talked on cooperation, more interaction and teamwork among faculty members of both universities to achieve greater success.
At the end, an agreement was signed between the two universities to enhance mutual cooperations.
