TUMS Public Relations News Service: The first conference of deans of medical faculties of universities of Islamic countries, opened in Kish Island with message of head of Parliment.


The first conference of deans of faculties of medicine of universities of Islamic countries, opened in Kish Island .

The idea of this gathering belongs to TUMS genuinely and now deans of medical schools and some other representatives from about 20 Islamic countries are TUMS’ guests in Kish Island.

In this conference discussions will take place on four main topics: ranking the medical faculties of Islamic countries, networking among these universities, open learning, and medical ethics.

The opening session began with the lecture of Dr. Larijani, chancellor of Tehran University of Medical Sciences and president of the conference.

He first expressed his gratitude towards the guests and also his delight to see this occasion. Dr. Larijani said: “It seems that if the collaboration among Islamic countries, moves from governors to all people and parts, we could reach more achievements and honors in future.”

In another part of his speech, Dr. Larijani referred to some future conferences such as the second international conference on medical ethics and the gathering of Muslim students that are going to be held by TUMS in a few months.

The president of the conference ended his speech with reading the message from Dr. Hadad Adel, head of the Islamic Parliament in Iran. In part of this message he read: “There is no doubt scientific collaborations among Islamic countries is a need in today’s Islamic world and medicine which is a true and deep science theoretically and is very important practically, is a precious field for such collaborations.”
