A Group of Health Experts from Switzerland at TUMS School of Public Health

TUMSPR News: A delegation composed of health experts from different Swiss Universities visited TUMS School of Public Health and engaged in talks with the school’s authorities to evaluate the ways for prospect scientific collaborations on February 10, 2010.
A group of Swiss health experts from Zurich and Saint Gallen Universities visited Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) School of Public Health (SPH) and engaged in talks with the school’s authorities to evaluate the ways for prospect scientific collaborations on February 10, 2010.
The Swiss delegation, including Professor Flix Gutzwiller from the University of Zurich and a member of the parliament, Professor Hans Groth, a health expert, demographist and epidemiologist and Professor Alfonso Sousa-poza, a health economist, both from Saint Gallen University, accompanied by Dr. Niknam, the director of the international relations of Iran’s ministry of health, met with Dr. Mesdaghinia, the dean of the school, Dr. Ghazi-khansari, the head of TUMS International Relations Office, and some of the school’s professors including, Dr. Pour-reza, a health economist, Dr. Rashidian, the head of the school’s Institute of Health, Dr. Mokhtari-azad, the head of the national laboratories for influenza and measles and some other authorities of the school engaged in talks to look for common interests in collaborative research and academic cooperation.
Following the meeting the group visited different parts of the school including the library, the department of entomology, the nutrition lab, etc and admitted that there existed great resemblance with those of their schools.
