Dr. Lankarani, Health Minister Denied the Omission of Abroad Scholarship for PhD Students

TUMS/PRNS: According to the latest interview of Dr. Lankarani with the press, there is not any plan in the ministry of health,treatment and medical education to abolish funding of 6 month special courses of PhD students of medical universities in the other countries.
He also added: It must be determined that how effective these courses are, and those taking part in these foriegn courses in what fields will benefit from the education abroad.
Health minister of Islamic Republic of Iran admitted that these scientific scholarships are certainly good oppurtunities for postgraduate students to complete their research in their specialized field of studying in the university but we believe that these courses must be aimful because they are not just vaccation.
Dr. Lankarani emphasized on the quality of academic education of the target universities for the scholarships funded by health ministry and said: Collaborative studies with advanced educational centers of the world, would undoubtedly be fruitful and this is not to be abolished at all.
