TUMS/PRNS: With the participation of many enthusiastic faculty members of TUMS the first conference of electronic learning initiated in Avecinna hall of medical school.
In the openinig session of this conference that was attended by the participants in the main hall and two other centers of TUMS with at a long distance from the central location of the conference,all the audience could watch and listen to the lecturers simultaneously through electronic videoconference system .
Dr. Keshavarz vice-chancellor of TUMS for education and Dr. Mojtahedzadeh secretory general of this conference were the lecturers of the openinig session of the first conference of E-learning and medical education.
Dr. Keshavarz in his speech pointed to the developing activities of TUMS particularly in international areas and said : E-learning as a new method can act as an effective and dynamic device to improve the education coverage and its quality when being used besides customary and contemporary methods of teaching in the university.
Secretory general of this conference Dr. Mojtahedzade also had a speech in this session .She stressed on the great changes that are happening in the field of education due to progressive and extensive use of distant communication devices like internet and asked the autorities to pay enough attention to E-learninig as a solutions to many of educational problems encountered at the present time like necessity of continuous eduacation of up to date medical skills.
