Tehran University of Medical Sciences/ public relations: Dr. Larijani in his lecture appreciated the culture of charity and said : ‘Nowadays, preparing of medical facilities for patients is easier with cooperation of charitable persons besides support of government and our efforts in scientific and medical fields are being expanded in the university.’
Aiding hospital is aiding medical services in country, he stated.
In Imam Khomeini hospital, there are about 1200 active beds for admission, 70 intensive care beds, and 26 specialized training wards. In fact, this center is a great training center, Dr. Larijani added.
We are seriously organizing better emergency departments and establishing reference lab and trauma center of Sina hospital that was closed several years ago. Chancellor of the university expressed hope that new measures of health care services will be achieved through these efforts.
Dr. Larijani reminded: Center of Bone marrow transplantation was established by cooperation of Dr. Shahi and his family. It took 5 billion rials. Tehran University of medical sciences supports these efforts for advance of charity medical services in its training academic centers because we will persist on clinical governance in university.
He also announced, with efforts of Dr. Aba-sahl, Dr. Nayyeri, and cooperation of charitable persons, Cancer Center and NICU of Imam Khomeini hospital are established. We hope these centers will be inaugurated formally by the November 2007(Aban 1386).
With managing staff and cooperation of charitable persons, we can serve better, he hoped.
