An agreement was reached between Tehran University (TU) and Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) on March 10, 2008 for holding joint educational courses, joint applied research, holding international scientific conferences, launching new scientific journals, establishing a leading and study programming council, establishing research centers, joint publication, allocating a new space for a technology park, facilitating affiliation for the faculty members of the two universities, and a scientific council.
Dr. Bagher Larijani and Dr. Farhad Rahbar, the chancellors for TUMS and TU respectively, signed the agreement following a ceremony for honoring the researchers and professors of the two universities at Allameh Amini Hall in Tehran University on March 10, 2008.
