TUMSPR News: Tehran University of Medical Sciences' (TUMS) School of Medicine ranked first for the third year in a row.

Tehran University of Medical Sciences' (TUMS) School of Medicine topped other schools of medicine in Iran for the third step in a row.

Ranking medical faculties has been an important issue in the world of medical education and medical doctors are the end-product of these universities and medical doctors’ competence plays a key role in the health system of countries.

In the third round of evaluation in 2007, Shiraz and Shahid Beheshti Universities of Medical Sciences' Schools of Medicine ranked second and third respectively.

The first evaluation took place in 1990 and the second in 2003.

TUMS’ School of Medicine is located in Tehran and it was established in 1934.
