In a session held on June 21, 2008 at Tehran University of Medical sciences (TUMS) Dr. Bagher Lankarani, the Health Minister of Iran was titled an affiliated faculty member of TUMS by Dr. Larijani, TUMS' chancellor.
The session was a three-year report to the minister by TUMS' vice-chancellors for education, research, public relations, international relations, deans of different faculties of the university, etc.
Dr. Lankarani, by assessing the university’s activities as positive said that by the high number of select students and distinguished faculty members of the university and also its brilliant past, one would expect more. He concluded his sayings by pointing out that the honors achieved by the university would lay more responsibility on the university’s shoulders.
