The American Health Association recently suggested seven steps toward a more productive and healthier life with an incredibly higher life span up to 40 more years to live.

The good thing about the measures are that all have one thing in common:
- Anyone can make these changes,
- Steps are not expensive to take
- Even modest improvements to your health will make a big difference.
- You may start with one or two.

The steps include:

I. Eat Better: Get < 300 mg of cholesterol and < 150 mg of salt per day
II. Lose Weight to a BMI < 25
III. Control your Cholesterol < 200 mg / dl
IV. Get Active: Exercise at least 150 minutes / week of moderate exercise (or at least 30 minutes a day) or 75 min / week of vigorous exercise
V. Manage Blood Pressure < 120 / 8
VI. Reduce Blood Sugar < 100
VII. Stop Smoking
