Senegal's Health Minister and Cameroon's Vice-Minister for Health Visit TUMS Tehran Heart Center

TUMSPR News: Senegal's Health Minister and Cameroon's Vice-Minister for Public Health and Prevention with both countries political and technical health advisors visited Tehran University of Medical Sciences' Tehran Heart Center on March 4, 2009.


Dr. Safiaton Thiam, Senegal's Health Minister, Dr. Moussa Thior, the national health and Prevetion Coordinator, Mr. Hassane Yaradou, the ambassador of Senegal in Iran alongside Mr. Haytou Alim Cameroon's Vice-Minister for Public Health and both countries technical advisors visited Tehran Heart Center, an educational hospital of TUMS, on Wednesday afternoon March 4, 2009.

Dr. Alireza Haji-Ghasemi, the executive manager of the hospital, briefed the visiting groups on the educational, clinical and research programs of the center and following questions raised by Senegal Health Minister and Cameroon's Vice-Minister for Public Health and their technical advisors on different wards of the hospital, admission system, treatment costs, availability of insurance coverage, services provided to different age-groups, etc, they visited different wards, imaging, and diagnostic sections of the facility which was very admired by both groups

The objectives of the visit had been declared to be in search of a model for adoption.
