TUMS Public Relations News Service: During the first international conference of deans of medical faculties of Islamic countries in Kish "Laparoscopy Department" of int'l Branch of TUMS begun its formal activity after the inauguration ceremony.
The first CDFMIC conference in Kish was admitted by 23 countries attending from all over the world prepared an occasion for this inauguration and simultaneous presence of TUMS chancellor Professor Larijani in the conference made it possible for the authorities of the international branch of the university to announce the commencement of Laparoscopy division.
Mr. Shayesteh governor of Kish island also took part in this ceremony to become more familiar with the modern medical facilities recommended in this center henceforth.
Dr. Ashegh director of laparoscopy division in a lecture said: This center is equipped with 9 modern sets of laparoscopy and is working with 4 skillful surgeons who have attended Laparoscopy division as faculty members.
He also said the Laparoscopy division is capable of holding educational courses for 24 surgeons simultaneously and the intensive courses are represented in cooperation with Mirza Kuchak hospital of TUMS located in Tehran.
Dr. Ashegh expressed thanks to the best laparoscopist surgeons of the university whose collaboration were mostly important to make the Kish laparoscopy division of TUMS active, including Dr. Tulabi, Dr. Asgari and Dr. Rezayi.
It must be noted that this educational center has full set of the simulation educational devices for those surgeons who are taking their first lessons in the field of laparoscopy.
