TUMSPR News: The first joint fellowship program on LASER in Dentistry kick started at Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) on Feb. 21, 2009.
Tehran University of Medical Sciences' (TUMS) School of Dentistry in cooperation with Germany's Aacham Dentistry School started a LASER in Dentistry fellowship program which is unique to Iran and the region.
The dean of the school, Dr. Abbas Monzavi, called holding fellowship programs as one of the responsibilities of TUMS which is regarded as a mother university in Iran.
Thanking the president of the university, Dr. Bagher Larijani, for his invaluable support, Monzavi knew the joint program a new chapter in the faculty's inter- and intra-country collaborations and hoped the program could promote the state's dentistry faculties education, research and treatment and highlighted the need for revision in dentistry curriculum for the inclusion of the program.
