Iranian Articles on Rheumatology among Highest Cited Articles in Asia-Pacific Region

TUMS/Public Relations English News Service: APLAR Journal of Rheumatology in its latest 2007 issue announced most cited articles to have been on Behcet's disease, Lupus Erythematosus , and Infectious diseases among which 11.


APLAR Journal of Rheumatology in its latest 2007 issue announced most cited articles to have been on Behcet’s, Lupus, and Infectious diseases which among 11 published articles on Behcet’s disease 8 articles have been from the Iranian Rheumatology Research Center.

Similarly, the journal in its 2006 Publisher’s Report, Blackwell Publishing, announced the 10 highest cited articles in Rheumatology from which three articles were from the center including the one ranking first.

APLAR Journal of Rheumatology, with a decade of experience is published by Blackwell-Wiley. APLAR Journal of Rheumatology is the official journal of the Asia Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology (APLAR) which was established in 1963 in Sydney and is published three times per year.

The Iranian Rheumatology Research Center (RRC) was established in 1981 and in 2001 the Ministry of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education, chose the RRC as the "Center of Excellence" for Rheumatology in Iran. RRC is an active member of APLAR (Asia and Pacific area League of Associations for Rheumatology), and has four representatives in the Special Interest Groups (SIG) of APLAR (Behcet's Disease, Osteoporosis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, and Scleroderma).
