Tehran university of medical sciences/ english news service: Tehran High Level Ministerial Meeting on Health Research started its formal sessions after an opening ceremony in main conference hall of Tehran university of medical sciences on Saturday 17th of November 2007.
Tehran High Level Ministerial Meeting on Health Research that is being held by colaboration of EMRO paves the way as an international preliminary conference on health research for the forthcoming BAMACO conference in Tehran university of medical sciences.
This conference will last from 17th until 19th of November 2007.
In the opening ceremony of Tehran High Level Ministerial Meeting on Health Research attended by Dr. Lankarani health minister of Islamic republic of Iran and representatives of 15 member countries of EMRO there were some other special guests participating.
WHO & TDR ambassadors to the conference, BAMACO secretariat representative in the conference as special guests and Dr. Larijani chancellor of Tehran university of medical sciences & EMRO (Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office of WHO) chief secretary as the hosts of the conference attended the opening ceremony.
The countries attending formally the conference include Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Indonesia, Iraq, Lebanon, Morocco, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Tajikistan, Thailand and Turkey.
Also, there is an exhibition of research and scientific products of Islamic republic of Iran being held simultaneously which represents some of the most active research centers of the universities throughout the country.
