Dr. Larijani chancellor of Tehran university of medical sciences in his lecture in "Tehran High Level Ministerial Meeting" emphasized on the necessity of medical ethics consideration in health research.

He pointed to the various cultural views toward some of the most imortant concepts of medical ethics like the initiation of fetal life that must be considered during medical research and asked the countries policy makers to define particular codes and practical protocols to facilitate the health studies .

Dr. Larijani mentioned professional commitment, physician and patient inter relations, privacy policy in the medical informatics, medical malpractice and ethical considerations of research as the most challenging topics of the rapidly growing science of medical ethics and appreciated the prominent amount of studies done in Iran in these fields.
