TUMSPR News: Dr. Lankarani, Iran’s Health Minister accompanied by Dr. Larijani, TUMS’ Chancellor, while being updated about the latest achievements of Spinal Cord Injury Repair by Schwann Cells Project, announced the centers capability to hold Ph.D. by Research courses on the evening of September 16, 2008.
The minister’s visit to Tehran University of Medical Sciences, (TUMS’), Spinal Cord Injury Research Center, located at Imam Khomeini Hospital in Tehran, had been programmed to be a hearing on the project’s yearly report by the researchers there.
After listening to the speches made by the researchers, Dr. Lankarani knew the project as successful and a very good model to highlight the importance of teamwork.
The minister said that some Ph.D. courses were being designated at the Ministry, such as Ph.D. by research, and believed the center had the competence to admit fellow students in the field.
