Health Authorities Bid their Farewell to the Outgoing Health Minister and Welcomed the Incoming One

TUMSPR News: The state’s health authorities bid their farewell to the outgoing health minister, Dr. Kamran Baqeri Lankarani and welcomed the incoming one, Dr. Marzieh Vahid-Dastjerdi at Razi Conference Hall in Tehran on September 7, 2009.
The state’s health authorities bid their farewell to the outgoing health minister, Dr. Kamran Baqeri Lankarani, for his 4-year undertakings in leading the ministry and welcomed the incoming minister, Dr. Marzieh Vahid-Dastjerdi, a Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) faculty member at Razi Conference Hall in Tehran on September 7, 2009.
In his last speech the outgoing minister humbly believed all the work during his term in office was done by 30000 health house workers, more than 60000 nurses and midwives and about 30000 physicians under the ministry of health and medical education all over Iran and said one should thank them instead. Lankarani said “I feel no regret at the end of my term in office and I beliveit was an opportunity to serve the people and those days have been my best days of my life and I thank God for this blessing”. He also downplayed his leave and knew it a natural thing in the contemporary world but emphasized on continuing to take the right directions.
Later on, Dr. Dastjerdi thanked the outgoing minister for his precious outlook to health and laborious activities in successfully promoting health and said “Today, I have a great responsibility as the health minister and as Dr. Lankarani regarded equity in health for all, I definitely should regard this vision in health.
