The Fifth Student Nanotechnology Conference Kick-starts at TUMS

TUMSPR News: The fifth student nanotechnology conference kick started at TUMS Imam Khomeini Conference Hall on May 30, 2009.


This three-day conference (May 30 to June 1, 2009) has been held by the help of Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) Faculty of new Technologies and the presidential offices for the development of nanotechnology.

Submitted article too the conference (391) have been in three vast subject categories including 1- Nano-physics, nano-mechanic, nano-electric 2- nano-chemistry, nano-materials, nano-thermodynamics and nano-polymers 3- nanotechnology nano-environment, etc.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Sarkar*, the secretary of the presidential office for nanotechnology development said that Iran has achieved the 16th position in the world in the first four months of 2009 regarding the number of ISI published articles and claimed that it has the potential to be among the top ten among the countries with the know-how in the near future.
