TUMS Public Relations News Service: Speaking in an interview with Iran Television News Network, Dr. Larijani said: "We should establish scientific and research collaborations among Islamic countries to increase the strength and honors of Muslims and this conference tries to join Muslim scholars of the world and arrange collaborations among scientists and researchers of Islamic countries."

Describing the four main objectives of the conference that are going to be discussed, he added: "Creating a common network among the universities of Islamic countries, ranking the Islamic medical faculties, open learning and distance learning through the internet, investigating the possibility of collaboration in establishing the City of Knowledge and Health, and Islamic considerations in medical ethics are the main topics of discussion and sharing ideas in this conference."
