Collaboration Treaty Signed between TUMS, Belorussian Postgrad Academy of Medicine

TUMSPR News: A scientific collaboration treaty was signed between Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) and the Belorussian Academy of Medical Sciences in mid-April 2009 during a four day visit of TUMS Chancellor from Belorussia.
Dr. Bagher Larijani, the chancellor for Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) and the president of the Academy of Medicine for Postgraduation Studies signed a joint collaboration treaty during the chancellor's four-day stay in the republic in mid-April 2009. The objectives of the collaboration are the initiation and development of cooperation in the health domain, and promotion of the quality of postgrad studies in medicine.
The treaty aims to support scientific and educational projects bilaterally to promote clinical teachings and holding courses in PhD and masters in clinical sciences, plus exchange of faculty members and students. Exchange of faculty members and students would be in different fields of study.
The treaty also bilges the two to help establish an international school, collaborate for organ transplant studies, and develop joint herbal medicine research. The collaborations would also cover a diverse array of subjects including biotechnology, stem cell, interventional cardiology trauma, plastic and facial surgeries, endocrinology, endoscopy, neurosurgery, reproductive health, embryology, clinical and laboratory diagnosis, medical ethics, etc.
The chancellor also points out that each side could suggest other issues to bolster bilateral collaborations to newer heights.
