TUMS PR News: Protecting Health from Climate Change was the theme of the speeches given at Razi conference Hall to celebrate the day on April 6, 2008.
Dr. Mubasher Sheikh, the representative of WHO in Iran, the Iranian president’s deputy for science, the Minister of Health and Medical Education, the Interior Minister, Minister of Industries and Mines, the deputy for Iran meteorological organization, the head of Iran department of environment, the deputy for the ministry of Health, Dr. Larijani, TUMS Chancellor, ambassadors of foreign embassies in Iran, representatives of different international offices of WHO in Iran and many health experts attended the ceremony at Razi Conference Hall on April 6, 2008.
The aforementioned authorities gave a speech each and in a symbolic act; children presented a rose to the representatives each and award plaques or gold coins were given to the “Friends of Health” to commemorate their undertakings.
Dr. Farid Abolhassani TUMS vice-chancellor for Health, and Dr. Yahya Aghighi, were among those appreciated for their role in disseminating health and being friends of health.
