In a report by Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS)

Children’s Hospital’s Public Relations, the world breastfeeding day will be held on August 1-7, 2008 to support breastfeeding mothers.

Mother Support: Going for the Gold [Go for the Gold medal by supporting breastfeeding mothers!]

The Olympic Games commence on August 8-24, 2008, as does the world week of breastfeeding from 1-7 August, 2008. WABA is asking all countries and all people in the world to promote supporting mothers who breast-feed, to materialize the gold standards for infants: Exclusive breastfeeding for the first 6 months and continuing it with appropriate complementary food for 2 years.

Supporting mothers includes any support given to promote breastfeeding.
