TUMS english news service: Thursday first of November was a special day for 2000 Iranian patients who have recieved bone marrow transplantation in Tehran university BMT research center and now have become the second largest bone marrow transplanted community of the world.

In a ceremony titled "Reaching 2000 BMTransplant in Tehran university Research Center" to appreiciate this scientific record by colaboration of the university personnel particularly the researchers and clinicians Dr. Ghavam zade head of this research center announced that the overall success rate among these transplantations has been 72 percent which commits global high standards in this field.
Dr. Larijani chancellor of the university also had a lecture in this ceremony and warned the attendants about the new plans for development cell therapy utilities and inauguration of a well equipped stem cell bank.
Health minister Dr. Lankarani was one of the special guests to this ceremony. He admired the efforts of researchers in this field and said : BMT is the highest level of therapeutic accomodations in the world and this scientific record must be casted globally to let the other countries know that Iran is pioneer in many fields.
Dr. Rezayi speaker of health commision of Iranian parliament (Majlise Shoraye Eslami) was the other lecturer in this ceremony who reminded the role of faith and devotion in addition to hard working and cooperation of the medical and nursing staff involved in this this worthy honor for the country.
After the formal session of the ceremony other parts of this ceremony were conducted by the managing crew of "Reaching 2000 BMTransplant in Tehran university Research Center" ceremony that was mostly the most active transplanted patients like Ms. Sehhat Zadeh music composer of this ceremony.
