Tehran University of Medical Sciences /Public Relations News Service: According to the annuncement of central office website of the university, the deadline for the submission of abstracts has been extended to July 31, 2007.
Here comes the details of this announcement for interested faculty members and students to participate in this special and attractive workshop dealing with the most prominent aspects of education improvement in medical shools:
It gives us great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 4th GIAN Conference / Workshop on “Higher Education & Development in Knowledge Based Society: Towards Enhancing Quality and Relevance in Medical and Professional Education” which will be organized by Tehran University of Medical Sciences, University of Kassel & University of Goettingen in Tehran on September 7-11th, 2007.
The past conference in this series in Gilan University met with great success and gave our colleagues with different disciplines, the chance to exchange ideas. This program will involve the participants in the current debates and discussions on quality assurance through group discussions, as well as through active participation in developing insights and approaches relevant to local universities in Iran and the region. The main goal will be to achieve a capacity of the staff with motivation to support change towards quality improvement. The Symposium will be geared to specialists in different disciplines.

German Iranian Alumni Network (GIAN):
GIAN is the network of university graduates from German Universities in Iran and the region with a variety of professional and scientific backgrounds. It is under the close coordination of the University of Kassel - Witzenhausen, the Institute for Socio-cultural Studies.
