TUMSPR News: The Islamic World Scientific Citation (ISC) center recently released the list of the top ten academics and universities.
Based on the report by Mehr News Agency, the Islamic World Scientific Citation (ISC) center has recently announced the list of top 10 authors of scientific papers and universities. The head of ISC, Jafar Mehrad had compared ISC to Thompson’s Web of Science (ISI) in the press conference.
The first three academics announced by ISC are Dr. Fereidoun Azizi from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (SBUM) with 285 articles, Dr. Bagher Larijani, the chancellor for Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) Chancellor, with 198 research articles and Mrs. Parvin Mirmiran from (SBUM) with 112 articles.
Mehrad had named the criteria set to evaluate the universities as the number of scientific papers with impact factors published in domestic or international database and had announced the first five universities as follows:
University of Tehran with 15636 publications, Tehran University of Medical Sciences with 10324, Tarbiat Modaress University with 8566, Shahid Beheshty University of Medical Sciences with 6224 and Iran University of Medical Sciences with 4366 publications. Isfahan and Meshad Universities of Medical Sciences had been the 6th and 7th universities and Mashad and Shiraz universities 8th and 9th and Tabriz University of Medical Sciences the 10th university.
