TUMS / PRENS*: Dr. Vahid-Dastjerdi the dean of TUMS International Branch at Kish Island called the branch would become a scientific pole in the Persian Gulf region. (* Tehran University of Medical Sciences / Public Relations English News Service).
The Head of TUMS international relations office in the inauguration ceremony of the international branch of TUMS told the students that “In our vision Kish Island would become a scientific pole of the country in future.
Dr. Dastjerdi, while welcoming the guests and congratulating the students and their families said “I hope you as the first students of this international branch would shine and accomplish more success compared to TUMS students in Tehran and give us the stand to proudly declare that we hold an appropriate model for other international branches in the state while achieving the country’s future map.
Dr. Dastjerdi said that TUMS had been the first university to establish an international branch on the island. And by the help and guidance of TUMS chancellor, Dr. Larijani, denoting collaboration with world-class universities and members of TUMS governing body, numerous travels were made to different parts of the country including Qeshm, Chabahar, and Kish and finally there was a common agreement among the members that Kish Island with six international universities would be a better choice.
