TUMSPR News: Tehran University of Medical Sciences' Chancellor, Dr. Larijani, inaugurated the Traditional Medicine Clinic of Imam Khomeini Hospital on August 30, 2008.
Dr. Larijani, inaugurated the Traditional Medicine Clinic of Imam Khomeini Hospital on August 30, 2008. Following the inauguration, Dr. Larijani asked the dean of the Traditional Medicine Faculty and the head of the Hospital to establish the clinic's drugstore regarding its immediate objective, education and for the ease of patients. The chancellor also emphasized the need for the physical expansion and development of the clinic for treatment and educational purposes before the start of the new term.
The clinic had been offering services to at least 15 patients a day, half of them being new cases.
Dr. Keshavarz, the deputy for education of the faculty, introduced the services offered at the clinic as: physical exams and treatment with an inclination to traditional medicine, health education and ways of maintaining a healthy life-style, acupressure, massage, hydrotherapy, etc.
Keshavarz hoped that the clinic would of great use to students in their internship courses.
