The chancellor of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Larijani, put the emphasis on TUMS academic role in the international arena as the objectives of establishing its international branch at Kish Island.
Dr. Larijani shortly after his arrival at the island said every new task has its own challenges and there might be some difficulties too but we are determined to establish the base to develop the university’s international academic role and gradually the university’s presence in the international arena.
The chancellor said that a lot of prominent professors of the country are teaching at Tehran University of Medical Sciences and there might be few countries with a population of 70 million in the region to have such potentials for this duty.
Kish Island is a resort island in the Persian Gulf and is a free trade zone.
