Tehran University of Medical Sciences/ Public Relations News Service: Deputy of cultural and scholar have reported that Dr. Larijani the chancellor of Tehran University of medical sciences in a corresponding with formal high rank authorities of the country presented the advances of the university in sports.
According to this report the formal letter of Dr. Larijani to the president of the country's organization of sports and physical training, Mr. Aliabadi and Dr. lankarani minister of health includes the list of successes and honors of the university athletes and then explains the 3-fold growth of specific sports areas compared to the average of all universities,as the major reason of the rapid developing spirit of sportsmanship in the educated and young students and staff of this university.
Dr. Larijani in this letter has pointed to the last estimation of sports fields of the university that has increased from 0.8 square meter/student to a total of 1.1 square meter/student in one year (2006) and establishment of the first artificial lawn ground in university of medical sciences, establishment of the first good health road to promote the daily exercises in the university, inauguration the first and second phases of shahid Chamran athletic complex with special halls for Wrestling, contact sports and some other sports.
Chancellor of the university in this formal report on advances in sports has mentioned the women sports competitions in the university a successful program in promotion of physical activity and sports among all the students and staff of Tehran university of medical sciences.
