TUMSPR News: The nominees for the best educational activities of the 11th Avicenna Festival were announced on February 6, 2010.


The nominees for the best educational activities of the 11th Avicenna Festival were announced on February 6, 2010. The festival is held yearly at TUMS to encourage research and educational activities of the faculty members and the students.

The names and affiliations of the selected faculties for the quality of teaching are as follows:


- Dr. Hosseinali Shahriari, professor in ophthalmology from Zahedan University of Medical Sciences, receiving Avicenna Award


- Dr. Hassan Eftekhar Ardebili, professor, pediatrician from the School of Public Health, the Provost Award


- Dr. Mahrou Mirahmadian, professor, M.D. Ph.D. in immunology from TUMS School of Medicine, the Provost Award

- Dr. Abbas Madani, associate professor and pediatrics nephrologist form TUMS School of Medicine, the Provost Award


- Dr. Hassan Dor-riz, professor, dental prothesist from the School of Dentistry, the Provost Award


- Dr. Narges Yasa, associate professor, pharmacognosits from the School o Pharmacy, the Provost Award


- Dr. Yahya Aghighi, professor, pediatrics rheumatologist from School of Medicine, Medical Ethics Award

Hakim Jorjani Award is also given to instructors with highest teaching qualities


- Dr. Mohammadreza Nikoubakht, Urologist and kidney transplant fellow from School of Medicine, Hakim Jorjani Award in Clinical Sciences


- Dr. Habib Mazaheri, assistant professor, radiologist from School of Medicine, Hakim Jorjani Award in Clinical Sciences


- Dr. Iraj Ragardi Kashani, assistant professor, anatomist from the School of Medicine, Hakim Jorjani Award in Basic Sciences


- Dr. Tahereh Hosseinzadeh, associate professor, orthodontist, Hakim Jorjani Award from the School of Dentistry


- Dr. Mohsen Amini, associate professor, Hakim Jorjani Award from the School of Pharmacy


- Dr. Talat Mokhtari Azad, professor, virologist , Hakim Jorjani Award from the School of Public Health


- Mrs. Seyedeh Fatemeh Vasegh-Rahimpour , Instructor, Hakim Jorjani Award from the School of Nursing & Midwifery


- Mrs. Zahra Fakhari, Instructor, M.Sc. in Physiotherapy, Hakim Jorjani Award from the School of Relabilitation Sciences


- Dr. Fariba Nabatchian, assistant professor, Hakim Jorjani Award from the School of Paramedicine

The festival is held yearly at TUMS to encourage research and educational activities of the faculty members and the students.
