Tehran University of Medical Sciences / English News Service: These were the words described the Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) in the abstracts magazine published by the 13th Razi Research Festival on Medical Sciences in December 2007.
The Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), with a total of 1313 research projects, the highest in the country per university, lead the way to achieve the title “ The Outstanding University Of the Country" among first rank universities of the state.
TUMS, with an academic staff of 1255, produced a total number of 1313 research projects in 2007 and the articles published in peer-reviewed domestic and international journals surpassed 2030.
TUMS also obtained the highest points achieved by the faculties, 40669 or 32.4 per faculty member, in knowledge production, research utilization and mobilization of financial resources. Other universities averaged 13.5 points in contrast.
