TUMS Chancellor to the Pakistani Delegation: With All these Cultural & Religious Backgrounds We Could Achieve Higher Goals!

The event had been made possible by the help and coordination of Iran’s Ministry of Health and the International Relations of TUMS and it included the observation of Iran’s Health System by visiting Health Centers and some of the educational centers.
At the closing session held at the headquarters of TUMS, Dr. Larijani, TUMS’ Chancellor, said “ I hope all of you have had a good time in Iran and your observations of educational and health system of TUMS”. “It has been a pleasure for my colleagues and I to have had you here in Iran and I hope it has changed and improved your opinion about our health system and I am looking forward to hearing your comments and feedback about our health system”.
Our colleagues at the Ministry of Health and TUMS are thinking of future programs to be designed and implemented in all fields that might be of interest to you”. “I think that Iran and Pakistan have many things to exchange regarding the values and similarities of the health system”. “I know you have good universities in Pakistan therefore we can exchange and extend the relations not only in health services but also research, education and other areas of Interest”.
“I think some of the activities in health services are related to our values we hold to, for example organ transplantation. Additionally we have similar standings in medical ethics and I think by the help of Iran and Pakistan we can help improve the health status in the region and other neighboring countries”.
“During the past four days you saw some of TUMS health system but perhaps in future visits you could see other activities of TUMS in research and education since we have 16 educational hospitals and 46 research centers but the time was limited and maybe in future we exchange information in other areas too”.
“In the end, I would like to thank my colleagues in TUMS and Dr. Vahid-Dastjerdi in the International Relations office and in the Ministry of Health, Dr. Amirkhani and the UNFPA representative in Iran, Dr. Abdolahad who made this [field] visit possible”.
