TUMSPR News: The chancellor for Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), Dr. Bagher Larijani, introduced the four distinguished professors of the University, Dr. Kazem Mohammad being one of them, based on the decision made by the Council for the selection of distinguished professors in August 2010.


Dr. Bagher Larijani, the chancellor for Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), introduced the four distinguished professors of the University, Dr. Kazem Mohammad, Dr. Fereidoun Davaci, Dr. Ardeshir Ghavamzadeh and Dr. Bahador Alamiharandi, based on the decision made by the Council for the selection of distinguished professors in August 2010.

Achieving 300 points from the publication of original articles in national and international scientific databases, registration of patents, and innovation in education during full professorship period were the items necessary for the promotion of faculty members to this academic degree. Being a full professor for at least 15 years had been one of the criteria for such selection.

Born in 1938, Dr. Kazem Mohammad, studied Master of Science in Chemical Engineering (MSc) in Tehran at Institute of Technology (presently, Amir Kabir Technical University). He later got Master of Science in Biostatistics from UCLA in 1969 and doctorate in Biostatistics (PhD) from the same university, UCLA, in 1973.
