TUMSPR News: The University of Franche-Comté has granted an honorary professorship to Dr. Yahya Dowlati, the head of TUMS Center for Research and Training in Skin Diseases and Leprosy.


On the news by TUMS Alumni Office, theUniversity of Franche-Comté has granted an honorary professorship to Dr. Yahya Dowlati, a faculty member of Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) and the head of Center of Research and Training in Skin Diseases and Leprosy at the Hall of Justice conference room in Besançon, France on September 10, 2010.

After introducing Dr. Dowlati’s research and educational background and his past and present academic positions, the president of Franche-Comté University called the move a turning point in prospective scientific collaborations between the University and the Research Center.

In his speech, Dr. Dowlati, also hoped the scientific ties between the Center and Franche-Comté University continue solidly as development of science knows no geographical boundaries.

This honorary academic chair has been previously awarded to Dr. Howard Maibach and Dr. Albert Kligman from the United States, Dr. Ronny Marks from England, Dr. Hashiro Tagami from Japan and Dr. Gerard Pierard from Belgium.
