QS Asia’s Managing Director Says Iran Has Prestigious World-Class Higher Education System that will Take its Rightful Place

TUMSPR News: In her introductory lecture, the managing director of QS Asia, Ms. Mandy Mok, believes Iran has prestigious world class universities that will take their rightful position in the world at the QS-UT meeting held at Tehran University of medical Sciences (TUMS) on October 3, 2010.


In her introductory lecture at the QS-UT meeting held at Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) on October 3, 2010, Ms. Mandy Mok, the managing director of QS Asia, expressed her feelings for participating in the meeting and said:

“Good morning to you all. My name’s mandy Mok, the managing director of QS Asia based in Singapore. I am truly honored to address such a distinguished audience and I’d like to thank you all for attending this meeting and I’d like to introduce Dr. Kevin Downing, the deputy-registrar of City University of Hong Kong and Consultant to QS Asia on ranking and also the chair to QS-Maple Academic Committee.

Kevin Has had acknowledged to have expert consultation on all ranking systems and has helped promote the ranking of the City University of Hong Kong from 189 in 2004 to 124 in 2009 in QS World University Ranking. He is also the author and originator of he BAT which stands for Benchmarking and Analysis Tool.

Iran has a world-class higher education system which is composed of very prestigious institutions many of which are representing here today.

I hope very much this workshop will inform, stimulate debate and get all of you involved in the share that the Iranian higher education takes its right place in the world. I believe of people today are the right people to ensure that it happens".
