TUMSPR News: A two-day conference on market management and commercialization in pharmaceutical industries by the participation of some renowned professors from Toronto University was held at Razi Conference Hall in TUMS Faculty of Pharmacy on August 9-10, 2010.


A two-day conference on market management and commercialization in pharmaceutical industries by the participation of some renowned professors from Toronto University was held at Razi Conference Hall in TUMS Faculty of Pharmacy on August 9-10, 2010.

DrValid Hedjazi’s lecture was on Iran’s economical views regarding world and Middle-Eastern economies on the first day and a short review on the need for strategic evaluation and measurement or return-on-investment (ROI) in marketing.

Dr. Brian Keppel’s lecture was on basic sciences and equipment for discovering new drugs and having a good assessment of the market and the necessary patience under the topic “From Laboratory to the Market” on the first and the second days of the conference, respectively.

Dr. George Appulous’ lectures were on economical evaluation of pharmaceutical industries, international investment, globalization and multinational corporate strategies.

The other lectures of the conference included, that of the dean, Dr. Dinarvand, Dr. Abbas Kebriaiezadeh from Osveh Pharmaceutical Company and some other faculty members.
