TUMS, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine Meetings Culminate in Signing a Memorandum for Future Collaborations

TUMSPR News: Following the meeting between the chancellors of Tehran University of medical Sciences (TUMS) and Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM) a memorandum was signed at Iran's Presidential Center for Innovation and Technology Cooperation (CITC) on Wednesday 26, 1, 2011.
Following the meeting of Chinese delegation, composed of the chancellor of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Dr. Gao Si Hua, the vice-chancellor for education, the deputy for international cooperation and China's ambassador and head of the embassy's cultural bureau with TUMS chancellor, Dr. Bagher Larijani, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the two parties at the presidential Center for Innovation and Technology Cooperation (CITC).The Chinese delegation had already visited different research centers and faculties of the university, such as TUMS Faculty of Traditional Medicine and its two clinics, Faculty of Pharmacy and the Institute of Endocrinology and Metabolism.
The memorandum which is supported by Iran's Presidential Center for Innovation and Technology Cooperation tries to build up an environment for mutual research and education and has set its goals for promoting the two schools of traditional medicine through exchange of students and faculties, training and exchange of graduate students, offering joint degree programs, establishing joint research centers and clinics.
The ambassadors of the two countries, Dr. Mehdi Safari and Mr. Yu Hongyang were present at the session.
